Der vordere Formatrahmen ist der Objektivrahmen der ARCA-SWISS.
Durch den Druck, den man beim Einsetzten des Objektives auf den Formatrahmen ausübt, arretiert dieses sicher durch die Bajonettverriegelung. Das selbe gilt natürlich auf der anderen Seite für den Balgen.
Je nach Größe des Formatrahmens, kommen folgende Größen Objektivplatten zum Einsatz: beim 6x9cm sind dies 110 x 110mm, beim 4x5" neu sind es 141 x 141mm und beim 4x5" alt sind es 171 x 171mm.
Es gibt 3 unterschiedlich konstruierte Formatrahmen.
f-classic: Das Objektiv wird manuel in der Höhe verschoben und mit der Feststellschraube fixiert.
f-metric: Das Objektiv wird mittels einer selbstarretierendenas Feintriebes in der Höhe verstellt.Optional kann man eine der beiden Orbix Verschwenkungen dazu erhalten.
m-line: Das Objektiv wird mit dem Funktionsträger in der Höhe verstellt. Die orbix-metric Verschwenkung ist Bestandteil.
