ARCA-SWISS f-universalis Digital Camera

The ARCA-SWISS f-universalis Digital Camera is a lightweight and compact technical camera from the ARCA-SWISS F-line. It is designed for use with digital system cameras and provides precise control over perspective, focus plane, and image composition.

By allowing independent positioning of lens and sensor, the camera enables classic view camera movements such as tilt, shift, and rise/fall. This allows accurate perspective correction, controlled focus adjustments, and high-resolution multi-shot techniques.

Mirrorless cameras are particularly well suited for this system because their bodies are thinner than DSLR cameras. A thinner camera body allows the sensor to move closer to the lens, making it possible to useshorter focal length lenses.

Construction

The camera is supplied with the wide-angle bellows (Art. No. 071013). It features a 100 × 100 mm square mount for the front standard and amagnetic circular interface designed for the Rotafoot adapter.

The front standard accepts ARCA-SWISS 110 × 110 mm lens boards and features the patentedOrbix® Micrometric tilt system. The tilt movement occurs around the optical center of the lens, minimizing the need to refocus when applying the Scheimpflug principle.

The base rail measures 200 mm and forms the rigid foundation of the system. The rear function carrier supports the camera using the Rotafoot and providesgeared focusing and vertical adjustments directly on the image plane.
