The V-holder, or internationally more widely used L-holder or L-bracket, makes life easier for a lot of photographers, (including me) because it works directly above the centre of gravity of the camera head, whether it's a Z-series monoball, or a cube, giving you the full range of adjustment options.
In general you can say that working with such a V-holder directly over the centre of the tripod gives you extra protection from camera wobble.
As usual with ARCA SWISS, the development takes a bit longer, but the end result is a highly professional one.
