The ARCA-SWISS d4 “Classic” is one of the most versatile 3D geared heads in its class – combining the precision of a geared head with the freedom of a ball head. With fine, micrometric control on two axes and a free rotation around the vertical axis, the d4 offers absolute control over composition while remaining compact and lightweight.
Each movement is driven by precision gearing, allowing exact positioning without backlash or the need for locking. The d4 also features two independent panorama axes: one at the base and one directly beneath the camera platform – perfect for alignment and panoramic work without altering the camera’s level.
